I feel totally comfortable to share openly these feelings here with you on stage. Since the spirit of having a festival is to accept also a critical discussion which is essential for art and for life," Mr Lapid said in his address.

Nadav Lapid is an Israeli screenwriter and film director who born in Tel Aviv, Israel to a Family of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. He is Son of writer Haim Lapid and film editor Era Lapid. Lapid Studied Philosophy at Tel Aviv University. He Pursued a degree at Sam Spiegel Film and Television School in Jerusalem.
Nadav Lapid made his debut in a film 'Policeman', which has won the Locarno Festival Special Jury Prize at the Locarno International Film Festival in 2011. His film The Kindergarten Teacher (2014) featured in International Critics' Week. Lapid have been the Jury earlier in 2016 Cannes film festival.
