54 Years old Canadian singer Celine Dion revealed what she is suffering from via a Video on her Social Media. Celine Dion is diagnosed with incurable neurological disease called 'Stiff Person Syndrome' and which is very rare neurological disorder affects about 1 in one million. The Fans and Followers and shocked and Heartbroken seeing Celine Dion in such bad phase of life.

Celine Dion revealed She is Suffering a lot in her daily activity. She is in touch of highly talented team of doctors and who are trying their best for her speedy recovery. Celine Dion further adds, She had to cancel her upcoming tour and stage shows and she miss her fans badly and she misses singing, what she is passionate about.

What Happened to Celine Dion?

Dion said in an emotional video posted to social media Thursday that she won't be ready to restart her tour in Europe in February after being diagnosed with a neurological condition known as "stiff person syndrome."

Celine Dion revealed through her Instagram Video Post, "Celine Dion reschedules Spring 2023 shows to 2024, and cancels eight of her summer 2023 shows. ‼️"

 ’I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through…It hurts me to tell you that I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February.” - Céline

 

What is Stiff Person Syndrome Disorder?

The disease “is characterized by fluctuating muscle rigidity in the trunk and limbs and a heightened sensitivity to stimuli such as noise, touch, and emotional distress, which can set off muscle spasms,” according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). 

People with stiff-person syndrome often have a hunched-over or stiff posture, and may have trouble walking or moving. Some people may be “afraid to leave the house because street noises, such as the sound of a horn, can trigger spasms and falls,” NINDS explains.

Without “normal defensive reflexes,” people with stiff-person syndrome often suffer falls, and can injure themselves easily. 

Stiff person syndrome is a rare type of autoimmune movement disorder which affects the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord). People those with this condition first experiences a stiffening of the muscles of their trunk, as time goes by, there will be development of stiffness and rigidity in the legs and at the other muscles of the body. 

What are the Symptoms of Stiff Person Syndrome Neurological Disorder?

The symptoms of stiff person syndrome can take much time like from months to years to develop. For some patients it maybe stable and it will only slowly worsen.

Symptoms are as follows:
• Leg muscles becomes stiff including arms and face
• Hunched posture
• Hard to walk or move
• Painful muscle spasms occurs
• Spasms can lead to dislocation of limb, break a bone, uncontrolled falls
• Sleep decreases the number of spasms
