  1. The contestants of Indian Idol 12 are superb save one . His name is vadali. Granted he is clasically trained and carries the Vadali name . His voice and style of singing is not suitable for any Indian Idol contest. I am not sure why he is saved by the judges each and every time. he doesn't belong in the top 10 let alone top 8. I believe the judges are keeping him to improve their own image as connoisseurs and masters of classical music like SD Burman, Madan Mohan and OP Nayar. In case of classical music most don't understand it and so the audience defers to the judges . By promoting Vadali the judges are signalling the audience that this is esoteric and nuanced and needs trained ears etc. But first and foremost the singing ought to be pleasiing to the ears. He sings loud with pronounced nasal twang. It is toally harsh to the ears. Its that time in the elimination process that the veto power ought to be taken from the judges and audience ought to be able to eliminate who ever they choose. Maybe judges can have a say if the vote count among the contestants is so low to be with in the error statistical quirk. I hope more people write about this to let themselves be heard and maybe effect a change.
