Actress Veena Kapoor was Brutally beaten up with a baseball bat after a quarrel. Her Son Sachin Who used to live in the US, fought with Veena and in a fit or gage killed her. According to reports, her son has confessed to have killed her to the police. During interrogation, he also confessed to have had a heated conversation to grab a Rs 12 crore plot and this caused his anger.
According to the ANI report, police have arrested the deceased son Sachin Kapoor (43) and servant Chhotu alias Lalu Kumar Mandal (25) in connection with the murder of the veteran actress. According to her post, after committing the crime, Veena’s son dumped her body into a river near Matheran in Raigad district.

Sachin was fighting a case against his mother in court over their property. Sachin, who earlier used to work as a teacher is currently unemployed and used to live with his mother in her four-bedroom flat at Kalpataru Society in Juhu. Sachin’s elder brother is a software professional and lives in the USA. Deputy Commissioner of Police Anil Paraskar (zone IX) said, “Sachin and Kapoor stayed together in Juhu.
On Tuesday, the USA-based son was trying to reach her over the phone but as she was not reachable, he called the watchman of the building and asked him to check on her.” The watchman then went upstairs to check on Veena but no one answered the doorbell. He then informed Veena’s elder son in the USA, who lodged a missing report at Juhu police station on Tuesday night.
Police suspected that Sachin had something to do with Veena’s disappearance but could not trace him for hours. He was finally arrested on Wednesday on the basis of his call data record. The arrest was confirmed by Senior Police Inspector Ajitkumar Dattatraya Vartak who said, “Sachin was located in Juhu. After Sachin was caught and taken into custody for interrogation, he confessed to the crime, after which he took us to Matheran as he had disposed her body there with Mandal’s help.”
Reportedly, the police believes that Sachin initially manhandled his mother in the apartment and in the heat of the moment, hit her on the head with a baseball bat, after which he put the body in a plastic bag and then in a cardboard box and with the help of Mandal disposed it in Matheran. The body was thrown into a valley over 100 feet deep. Vartak further said, “We are trying to verify whether its Kapoor’s body… we will send it for post-mortem, after which it will be clear as to how she was killed.”
Assistant Commissioner of Police Jayprakash Bhosale spoke about finding CCTV footage and said, “We have found CCTV footage in which they can be seen carrying her body in a carton box and putting it inside a car,” said. Both the accused have been arrested under IPC 303, 201 and 34.
